Meet Patti

For years, I dreamed of writing a book. And I must admit, thank goodness for computers! I can't imagine writing an entire novel longhand with a quill pen.

Kudos to those authors from bygone years!

I was thrilled when my first novel, Please...Tell Me More, was published. Maybe shocked is a better word! What began as a dream has since become one of the great pleasures of my life.

I'm a former Army brat and have lived all over the world before settling in the rural community of Gloucester, Virginia, with my husband, Greg.

Together, we raised three daughters and numerous cats and dogs.

After retiring from two area history museums, I finally had time to pursue some of the things I'd always wanted to do—including writing.

Growing up in an Army family meant moving frequently, and I learned how difficult it could be to make friends and maintain lasting relationships. Perhaps that's why the stories I write so often explore emotional connections, friendship, and family.

When I'm not writing, you'll might find me rescuing raptors and other birds or photographing the wildlife along the creek in my backyard. I'm particularly fond of the ospreys, herons, and egrets that make their homes nearby.

I also enjoy researching my family history on Ancestry. Greg and I love traveling together, and we've been happily checking destinations off our bucket list.

There's always another place to explore, another bird to photograph, and, of course, another story to tell!
